Posted August 27, 2005

The Spelhalan site is a result of a Swedish project about ordinary commercial computer games and how they can be used by persons with disabilities. Among other things they have looked at how computer games can be utilized in different kinds of training situations or just as a fun thing to do on your spare time. The game tests is one of the most valuable things on the site. They have used the JoyBox USB a lot and tested a lot of games with it. There is quite a lot of information on how to use the JoyBox together with different games. Most of the material on the site is in Swedish. The Spelhalan site can be found at www.spelhalan.com

The program simulates a row of lamps that can be used when not all in the group uses notes when they are playing. The group leader lights one lamp at a time, this way showing what is to be played. By putting a green stripe on a piano key the person playing the piano knows that when the group leader lights the green lamp, that key is the one to be played right now. The lamps are controlled with Joystick button 1-4.
